Is Collaborative Law Right for Me?

The Collaborative Process provides a more constructive way of
divorce.  If you agree with most of the statements below,  you
and your family might benefit from a Collaborative Divorce:

    •        Our children are my top priority.

    •        I believe our private matters should remain
confidential.

     •        I want to avoid going to court.

     •        I can work together with my spouse to come up with a
plan that’s best for our family, even though that means I might
have to compromise.

     •        I’m committed to problem solving, not problem
creating.

     •        I am willing to be open and honest about all financial
and other relevant information.

     •        I can be respectful towards my spouse, even when we
disagree.

     •        I want to be the one who decides what’s best for our
family, not a stranger.

     •        I am willing to listen to others’ points of view and be
flexible.

Admittedly, the Collaborative Process does not work well for
everybody.  We do not recommend this model for people
experiencing physical, sexual or emotional abuse.
